Sonic The Hedgehog Goes Next Gen
Sega recently released some screens from the next generation Sonic the Hedgehog game coming for the Xbox 360. The screens look quite nice indeed.
I just so happen to have a link to a shakeycam video of the game from a closed-door Sega press event. The video isn’t supposed to be released, but someone managed to sneak it out. While you can’t get the full idea of how cool the game is, the screens are obviously from the video and you can put two and two together, looking at the screens and imagining them in motion as you watch the video.
The Sega rep speaking mentions that everything is running in real-time. If Sega can manage to launch this with the Xbox 360, they’ve just found a way to get me to buy.

If this game is anything like SA2, I may just buy a 360 for this game.
*nostalgic tear*, i remember being glued to Sonic 2 and 3 for hours.

The Sonic games can't really be a rip off of DBZ, since it's the same guy (Akira Toriyama) responsible for the original character designs of both. The Japanese versions of the orignal Genesis game manuals even describe Sonic after he's collected all the Chaos Emeralds as "Super Saiyan Sonic".
Next time you decide to hotlink a movie from a website, make sure you try and get rid of all of its reserves completely so it has no chance of getting back online again.

good time's playin sonicadventure 2 on my sega dreamcast. none stop hardcore soic with all the sega games you can get man!

sonic adventure 2 for the dreamcast was the number 1 most sold sonic game ever! and i got all 180 emblem's and green hill zone made me cry so much memmorys...good times =)

It will be coming to PS3 and the 360. Since you won't be able to get a PS3 till next year, and everything points to it being a colossal flop, just get a 360 now and enjoy the ride.
There will be a SPECIAL SONIC game for the Revolution. It will be unveiled at E3.

Sorry. There won't be any more Sonic games for PS2 or GameCube. Those consoles are basically dea. If you want next-gen Sonic, you will have to get a Next-Gen console.
If price is your main concern, pick up a Revolution. It will be around half the price of a PS3 and will play all the old Sonic games for the GameCube.
You will also be able to download old Genesis games for the Revolution, including Sonic titles.

the problem is that i already have a gamecube and a PS2. I read that the PS3 memory card will be different on google. I was thinking of selling the PS2 and getting a PS3 when it comes out. another problem is that i don't want to start all over on all the PS2 games. Is there some way of transfering the memory card data to the PS3? (Like i said earlier, the PS2 and the PS3 have a different type of memory card)
I don't know if you will be able to transfer over your save games.
I do know that things aren't looking good for the PS3. Maybe it will turn out all right in the end but everything I read, elsewhere and on this blog, shows me that Sony is dropping the ball, big time.
I'm not going to hold my breath for the PS3. Instead, I'm getting a 360 this time round. The games for the 360 already rock and Live is amazing. I'm not going to wait 2 years for the PS3 to finally come out and maybe have a good game or two. I want to enjoy my time gaming TODAY, not waiting for Sony to get their acto together.
The Revolution is also going to be amazing. I'll get both before I get a PS.
Unless a game comes out (in the store that I can buy, not vaporware previews) that is absolutely knock-your-socks-off amazing, I'm going to pass on the PS3.

I really like this game, its cool, but sega has not come out with enough games for the 360 like i wish sonic and the legend of the secret rings was for 360. all and all its a good game.
