DS Wireless Roundup

It is no secret that the Nintendo DS is affordable and prolific. That means, the opportunity for multiplayer is high.

Previously, handhelds were expensive or cumbersome to link up. Other players had to have the system, the same game and a few cables to hook everything up. The DS has revolutionized multiplayer handheld gaming with the ability to wirelessly share a game with other people. With only one cartridge, you can get up to eight people playing together on their DS'. Some more complex games require multiple cartridges, but many games allow you to share the game with your friends, allowing them to get a taste of the action.

Brittlefish has up a little guide to some of the DS’ multiplayer titles, and assigns each a rating to denote how good they believe the multiplayer to be. While not a comprehensive list, the DS Wireless Roundup should give you an idea of what to expect from a number of multiplayer-friendly games and may make you consider some titles to play with your friends and family that you hadn’t previously considered.
